West Lake in Hangzhou has two unique treasures,
Longjing green tea and Hupao Spring water.

The Longjing Tea Plantation began to prosper in the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty. During Grain Rain each year, the plantation was permeated with aroma as tea was harvested and fried by farmers. In 2008, Green Tea Restaurant was founded in this luxuriant tea plantation. The name Green Tea is supplied from one of the ten scenic spots in West Lake, “Enjoying Tea at Longjing,” where you can appreciate pleasing landscape, taste tea, as well as learn about the tea ceremony and stories behind the Longjing green tea.

Should West Lake be one of a kind beauty
while a fine tea resembles a fair lady

In the Longjing Tea Plantation, the two founders of Green Tea Restaurant started their complicated and poem-like entrepreneurial journey with emotive twists and turns.

It is a place with green hills and lucid water. In such picturesque surroundings, Wang Qinsong, a stoical veteran and former foreign trade worker, started a common entrepreneurial journey with his beautiful wife Lu Yan, which was not built on utilitarianism but touching love stories.

Green Tea Restaurant represents the combination of landscape and spiritual pursuit, and it is a place where material advancement that transcends practicality meets spiritual pursuit for perfection. With a poetic temperament of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China, it is much more than material values.

The aesthetics that Wang Qinsong and Lu Yan developed over the years is the most proper answer to the question “what is an ideal life?” in the culture in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
